Introduction

You'll be joining a large-scale, Australian-owned cropping organisation that prioritises safety, innovation, and a family-oriented culture. Managing a significant amount of land across the country, the business is a major grain producer in Australia. We offer flexibility with your start date to suit your individual needs. The aggregation covers over 20,000ha with a significant amount of on-farm machinery.

About this role

About the role:

  • Oversee maintenance of the farm's fleet, including vehicles, trucks, tractors, sprayers, harvesters, and support equipment
  • Ensure all servicing and repairs are completed safely, professionally, and in line with manufacturer requirements, including diagnostics and accurate record-keeping
  • Manage the on-farm workshop, including parts inventory and timely pre-season maintenance planning
  • Provide technical support and advice to the Farm Management team and respond to breakdowns or call-outs as needed
  • Support farm operations such as spraying, seeding, and harvest when required
  • Maintain strong safety standards by identifying and reporting hazards, incidents, and issues, while assisting with general farm duties

Is this you?

About you:

  • Experience in agriculture, transport, or earthmoving, with the ability to operate large-scale plant and equipment
  • Previous experience in a mechanical or maintenance role (e.g. Farm or Agricultural Mechanic, Maintenance Manager, or similar)
  • Strong initiative, self-motivation, and a commitment to working safely while learning and adopting new practices
  • Effective communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work well in a team
  • Relevant licences and certifications (e.g. MC Driver's Licence and chemical users' certificate) are preferred but not essential
