What are you going to do

We are partnering with our client in the oil and gas sector to identify an experienced Warehouse Technical Lead for their Dubai Office. This permanent role is a key technical position overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring safe, efficient material handling and robust compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. As a senior member of our client's team, you will shape operational integrity and support critical activities across their supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Company's Health, Safety, Environment, and Operational Integrity (HSEOI) standards.
  • Technical authority for warehouse operations at Jebel Ali Operations Support Base (JAOSB), ensuring efficient material handling, storage, and inventory control.
  • Manage compliance documentation, including Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Material Test Certificates (MTCs), and Certificates of Conformance (CoCs).
  • Develop scopes of work and technical requirements for warehouse-related contracts.
  • Provide technical support and guidance for warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with procedures, standards, and operational requirements.
  • Oversee the inspection of incoming and outgoing materials to verify compliance with specifications, quality requirements, and certification standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain warehouse quality control processes covering material receipt, storage, preservation, and dispatch activities.
  • Investigate and resolve material discrepancies, non-conformances, and damaged or obsolete inventory, recommending appropriate corrective actions.
  • Prepare and support technical scopes of work (SOWs), contract evaluations, and warehouse-related service contracts.
  • Establish and maintain standards for material handling, storage, preservation, corrosion control, and inventory management in line with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommendations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct technical audits and reviews of warehouse processes, records, and controls, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Ensure the integrity, traceability, and availability of material documentation, including MTCs, CoCs, inspection records, OEM manuals, and MSDS/SDS.
  • Monitor the storage, preservation, and availability of critical spares, emergency response equipment, hazardous materials, and dangerous goods in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Operational Integrity (HSEOI) procedures in all warehouse operations, promoting safe work practices and ensuring the correct use of equipment and machinery.
  • Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and technical training sessions to enhance workforce competency in warehouse technologies, equipment handling, and safe operational practices.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Educational Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Materials Management or Warehouse Systems certification preferred.

Experience Profile

  • 10+ years of warehouse operations experience in a technical environment.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and chemical materials.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection, SOW preparation, warehouse systems, and HSE requirements.
  • Technical or engineering background preferred.

Information Security

  • Comply with Company Information Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Report actual or suspected security incidents promptly.
  • Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company information.

Competencies / Skills

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of quality control, inspection standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience preparing technical documents, inspection reports, and SOWs.
  • Strong commitment to HSE standards and continuous improvement.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Valid UAE driving license or ability to obtain one.
