Start-Up Manager

Introduction
Brunel Energy is working with a major oil and gas company, looking to hire a Starp-Up Manager to support business from their Spring campus for a one year contract.
The Start-up Manager is primary contact for multiple world-scale projects to ensure that the project teams are properly supported with Systems Completion resources, processes, and tools throughout early development planning to project implementation. The Start-up Manager also provides Systems Completion planning expertise and support to project teams prior to full funding.
What are you going to do
Main Functions:
- Provide guidance and leadership on all matters relating to mechanical completion, commissioning, and turn-over/systems acceptance
- Instruct new project teams on the Systems Completion process
- Serve as part time Systems Completions Advisor on projects prior to filling these positions on a full time basis
- Assist projects in planning and development of Systems Completion Plans
- Ensure that commissioning and start-up issues are identified and resolved appropriately
- Assist projects in identification of commissioning resource needs at key project phases and in screening and obtaining the required resources
- Develop required work orders and agreements to place Systems Completion personnel on projects
- Maintain contact with project Systems Completion personnel while assigned to projects
- Develop, review and comment on key Systems Completion related project deliverablesLead, participate, provide commissioning input, review, and guidance to project reviews
- Ensure that a computerized Systems Completion Database (SCDB) is used for tracking, certification, and quality purposes
- Assist in monitoring and guiding EPC contractor's commissioning organizations during planning and execution phasesComplete special studies, projects and assignments as needed
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
- Overall 20 years’ experience (companies: operator experience – previous XOM experience will be looked at in a case-by-case basis)
- 5+ years’ LNG experience preferred
- Early project planning experience
- Commissioning experience
- Knowledgeable of the systems completion process
- Strong leadership skills
