Introduction

Brunel International is looking for an experienced Petrophysics Expert to join our team for a 3-month project. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge and experience in integrated petrophysical analysis across all types of well logs, log-to-core integration, type-based permeability equations for both core and non-core wells, saturation-height function modeling using both core and log data in both clastic and carbonate reservoirs. Any previous experience in Kuwaiti reservoirs will be a significant advantage.

What are you going to do

  • The Petrophysics Expert will be responsible for providing expert advice on petrophysical analysis across all types of well logs, log-to-core integration, type-based permeability equations for both core and non-core wells, saturation-height function modeling using both core and log data in both clastic and carbonate reservoirs;
  • The successful candidate will also provide guidance on any relevant issues that may arise during the project.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in integrated petrophysical analysis across all types of well logs, log-to-core integration, type-based permeability equations for both core and non-core wells, saturation-height function modeling using both core and log data in both clastic and carbonate reservoirs;
  • Previous experience in Kuwaiti reservoirs is a significant advantage;
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal);
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Proven problem solving skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint);
  • Knowledge of relevant software packages such as Petrel or Geolog is an asset.
