Introduction

A leading national contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join its Queensland operations and play a key role in the delivery of a career defining legacy project on the Gold Coast.

As part of the early project team, you will have the opportunity to influence planning, methodology, programme development and site establishment before taking ownership of major construction activities through delivery.

This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished construction leader to secure a position on a large-scale, high-profile development that will become a significant addition to Queensland's built environment.

What are you going to do

Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will be responsible for leading site operations across major construction packages while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and programme performance.

You will manage large site teams, coordinate multiple subcontractor work fronts and contribute to the successful delivery of a highly complex project environment.

  • Lead day-to-day site operations across major construction packages
  • Drive programme, productivity and construction sequencing outcomes
  • Manage Site Managers, Foremen and subcontractor workforces
  • Ensure exceptional safety and quality standards are maintained
  • Coordinate project stakeholders and manage key interfaces
  • Contribute to project planning, methodology and delivery strategies
  • Identify and mitigate construction risks
  • Maintain strong relationships with consultants, clients and project partners

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on projects exceeding $200M
  • Strong leadership capability managing large site-based teams
  • Experience delivering complex commercial, health, infrastructure, civic or major mixed-use developments
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A track record of delivering projects safely, on programme and to a high standard
  • Trade or tertiary qualifications relevant to the construction industry
