Introduction

Senior Engineer opportunity with a leading offshore energy company, supporting complex Oil & Gas projects. The role focuses on engineering design, technical ownership, systems engineering and functional safety, including SIL and LOPA.

What are you going to do

  • Select engineering methods and procedures and optimize designs in line with specifications, international codes and company standards.
  • Plan and deliver engineering activities and deliverables within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Ensure effective management of system interfaces and coordination across disciplines.
  • Ensure the assigned Scope of Work meets contractual and internal requirements.
  • Apply lessons learned and assess the impact of changes across project system boundaries.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and third parties.
  • Act as a Responsible Engineer for functional safety-related analyses and studies conducted by third parties, where required.
  • Lead other engineers within an assigned scope of work.
  • Act as Discipline Lead where required.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • 10-15 years of Oil & Gas industry experience.
  • Strong engineering design and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with concept development and detailed engineering.
  • Strong Systems Engineering and multidisciplinary interface experience.
  • Demonstrable experience with Functional Safety, SIL and LOPA.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, subcontractors and third parties.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to take technical ownership and lead engineers within an assigned scope.
  • Offshore or FPSO experience is highly desirable.
