Introduction

Provide technical leadership for the design, planning, and execution of deepwater well completion operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery. Utilize engineering analysis and specialized software to optimize well completion performance while aligning with project objectives, corporate standards, and business goals.

What are you going to do

  • Design, plan, and execute deepwater well completion programs in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Develop completion designs, material selection, tubing analysis, stimulation programs, and well integrity solutions.
  • Manage completion contractors, tenders, equipment, and project deliverables.
  • Prepare completion procedures and provide offshore operational support when required.
  • Monitor operations, schedules, costs, and contractor performance to ensure safe and efficient execution.
  • Contribute to budget preparation and maintain cost control throughout operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement by incorporating lessons learned and industry best practices into future well designs.
  • Monitor project progress, ensure timely reporting, and deliver well objectives within budget and schedule.
  • Champion HSSE excellence through risk assessments, wellsite inspections, HAZID/HAZOP participation, and compliance with company HSE standards.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.

Experience:

  • 15+ years of oil & gas experience, including 10+ years in senior deepwater well completion engineering.
  • Proven expertise in deepwater gas well completions, long horizontal wells, sand control, coiled tubing, wireline operations, well testing, and offshore completion operations.
  • Minimum 5 years of offshore completion supervisory experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of exploration and development drilling/completion experience in Southeast Asia.

Technical & Leadership Skills

  • Strong experience in well completion design, tubing stress analysis, torque & drag analysis, and completion engineering software.
  • Expertise in sand control completion techniques (e.g., OHGP, OHSAS).
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
  • Strong commitment to HSE and operational excellence.
