Introduction

  • Advise and provide Electrical Engineering technical expertise and support consistent with Senior Engineer level competency during and Startup phase until handover to permanent Asset to ensure project deliverables meet Operations expectations in terms of Safety, Operability, Reliability and Maintainability over the facility design life cycle and are in accordance with established policies and procedures.

What are you going to do

  • Prepare, coordinate and provide a variety of electrical engineering technical expertise and support to contribute to the division strategy and goals which includes design reviews, technical evaluations, commissioning, start-up, failure analysis and advanced troubleshooting as part of punch list and warranty claim resolutions, and Management of Change, with the aim to deliver innovative, efficient and reliable electrical systems.
  • Support or lead the definition and implementation of integrity program for electrical equipment to achieve high standards of safety, reliability and availability.
  • Support development and implementation of surveillance and administration programs for critical Electrical systems of new projects to achieve high standards of Reliability, Availability and Cyber Security.
  • Guide less experienced engineers in implementing the company integrity and reliability systems.
  • Prepare, coordinate and provide electrical engineering technical expertise and support during Commissioning and Startup, ensuring seamless integration of electrical systems and compliance.
  • Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues during the operational phase.
  • Provide technical input related to area of expertise to other disciplines and functions as per requirements to support overall business objectives.
  • Supervise and ensure effective completion of activities undertaken by contractors, consultants and service providers.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with vendors and contractors to source high-quality electrical equipment, where required, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Support and facilitate smooth completion of project tie-in requirements for all systems under the area of responsibility, in line with electrical assurance strategies.
  • Maintain Issue Register identifying and resolving critical issues including new technology risks (under area of responsibility) which could impact new project Reliability, Availability and Cyber Security.
  • Produce and maintain detailed and comprehensive discipline handover packages for operating company following Startup for enhanced operational knowledge transfer and smooth transition to routine operations.
  • Prepare and implement high risk commissioning activities for highly complex and large-scale projects by undertaking stringent system surveillance, tuning and optimizing electrical systems, and providing advisory support to Operations and Maintenance for sustained operational excellence.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
  • 6 years' experience in an oil and gas environment
  • Able to work and make decisions under highly stressing conditions.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Strong leadership & people skills.
  • Computer literacy involves the regular use of professional office and technical applications.
  • Senior Electrical Engineer-level of competence as per Electrical Engineering Technical Competencies.
