Senior Contracts Advisor (Derivatives)

Our client, a leading global energy trading organization, is seeking a Senior Contracts Advisor (Derivatives) to support its Trading & Supply business. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on OTC derivatives agreements while providing commercial and contractual support to trading teams and key stakeholders.

This role offers an opportunity to work within a fast-paced international trading environment supporting energy, commodities, and derivatives activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts related to OTC derivatives trading activities.
• Advise commercial teams and stakeholders on contractual terms, risks, and compliance requirements.
• Review and negotiate derivative agreements including: ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes (CSA), Variation Margin CSA (VMCSA), Brokerage Agreements, Delegated Reporting Agreements, Trade Confirmations.
• Provide commercial and contractual support for structured transactions and new business initiatives.
• Identify and communicate contractual and commercial risks to internal stakeholders.
• Support dispute resolution and contract interpretation matters involving counter parties.
• Maintain accurate records of negotiations and contractual documentation.
• Monitor changes in relevant market regulations and industry practices impacting derivatives trading activities.
• Collaborate with Trading, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.
• Support knowledge sharing and provide guidance to junior team members where required.

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience negotiating and managing derivatives-related contractual documentation.
• Demonstrated experience with ISDA Master Agreements and related derivatives documentation.
• Strong understanding of OTC derivatives trading activities and associated contractual frameworks.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to derivatives transactions.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to assess commercial and contractual risks and provide practical recommendations.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced commercial environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting commodity, energy, financial markets, or trading businesses.
• Familiarity with global derivatives documentation standards and market practices.
• Experience working with internal and external legal, risk, and compliance stakeholders.

• Contract Duration: 12 months
• Start Date: Oct/Nov 2026
• Work Location: Buona Vista, Singapore
• Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, Office hours
• Renewal/Conversion: Subject to business requirements
