Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to support the successful delivery of large-scale Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects. This role serves as a key point of contact for contract administration, contract compliance, and contract risk management throughout the project lifecycle.

What are you going to do

  • Administer complex construction, EPC, procurement, and service agreements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor contract compliance and identify potential contractual risks, issues, and obligations.
  • Review contract provisions and escalate commercial or legal concerns to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of contract management procedures and controls.
  • Ensure contractual requirements are understood and adhered to by internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in maintaining contract registers, records, and documentation systems.

Change Management

  • Track and administer change orders, amendments, variations, and contractual modifications.
  • Maintain detailed change order logs and associated supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with project teams to evaluate the commercial and contractual impacts of proposed changes.
  • Support negotiations and documentation of change requests and contract amendments.

  • Assist in minimizing contract disputes, claims, delays, and commercial exposure.
  • Monitor project activities against contractual commitments and baseline schedules.
  • Identify potential risks and support the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Create and maintain contract case files, correspondence logs, and issue-tracking records.
  • Support dispute resolution efforts through accurate documentation and contract analysis.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a liaison between project management, procurement, legal, finance, project controls, and external contractors.
  • Facilitate meetings related to contractual performance, compliance, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate the review and response of contractual correspondence.
  • Escalate critical contractual and commercial matters to Contract Managers and Commercial Leads as appropriate.
  • Draft contractual notices, formal correspondence, meeting minutes, and administrative documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain contracting plans and contract administration reports.
  • Track contractor deliverables and ensure timely completion of contractual obligations.
  • Support document production requests, audits, investigations, and records management activities.
  • Monitor project burn rates and collaborate with project controls and accounts payable teams to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Process Improvement

  • Support the development and implementation of contract management best practices.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of contract administration tools, workflows, and systems.
  • Assist in maintaining contract management databases and reporting platforms.
  • Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, Finance, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of contract administration experience in a fast-paced corporate or project environment.
  • Experience supporting large construction, infrastructure, industrial, energy, renewable energy, EPC, or capital project programs preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracts, construction agreements, service agreements, and change order processes.
  • Experience managing high-value and high-risk contracts throughout project execution.
  • Familiarity with contractual risk allocation, compliance monitoring, and claims avoidance practices.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and administer complex commercial agreements.
  • Understanding of contract lifecycle management and contract governance.
  • Knowledge of construction project delivery methodologies and commercial controls.
  • Ability to identify contractual risks and recommend practical solutions.
