We are representing an established drilling contractor seeking an experienced, practical and field-focused safety professional with land drilling, high-risk work and commissioning experience. Working on a 2:2 roster, you will support VR-330 operations, coach frontline crews, strengthen permit and risk controls, maintain compliance and help deliver safe, efficient drilling in a remote mining environment.
As Safety Officer, you will work closely with Drillers, Offsiders, Supervisors, client representatives and site HSE teams to support the safe commissioning, start-up and operation of a specialist land drilling rig.
You will provide practical day-to-day safety support, coach frontline teams, strengthen permit and risk controls, conduct field inspections and ensure compliance with company standards, client procedures and Western Australian legislative requirements.
This role will suit an experienced safety professional who is comfortable working around drilling equipment, mobile plant and high-risk activities, and who enjoys being visible in the field, building credibility with crews and delivering practical safety outcomes.
