Introduction

On behalf of Chevron, Brunel has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Technical Assistant to join the ABU Major Capital Projects (MCP) team, primarily working on the Gorgon Long Term Optimization CO2 DE-PMP (Pressure Management Project). The position will report to the Quality Product Owner and will be based in Perth on a 2 year contract.

What are you going to do

The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar QA role on Major Capital Projects. He/she will be self-motivated, possess good communication skills (written / verbal), leadership abilities, ability to work within a Team, computer literate with high level of technical report writing and be attuned to detail.
Additionally, the position will support management of:

Operational Excellence (OE), promote a culture of quality which ensures work is done right, first time, every time.
Drive improvement and streamline opportunities.
Non-Conformances (NCR), Concessions and Deviation Requests (CDR) processes.
Vendor & Construction Inspections.
Quality Planning.
Quality tracking, quality document assurance / review & expediting.
Status reporting, performance measures, digital initiatives.
Inspection assignments, reports, and costs.
Surveillance & Process Verification Planning.
Building a Quality OE / Culture & development of quality awareness messaging.

Essential skills and knowledge

To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

Excellent people skills.
Growth mindset and a willingness to challenge existing ways of working in Capital Projects with innovative and out of the box thinking.
Good understanding of quality management systems.
Good understanding of quality technical documentation (eg, ITP’s, MDR’s, MTR’s)
8-10 years of experience in oil / gas industry or equivalent project type of work atmosphere is beneficial.
2-4 years of experience in a similar role in quality.
