Our client, a leading player in the dynamic energy sector, is seeking a proactive and dedicated Project Supply Manager (PSM) to join their team on a contract basis. Based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, this role offers an incredible opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the Supply chain activities of a portfolio of PF Projects, ensuring adherence to project budget, consistent on-time delivery and supplier quality performance.
  • Ensure Tendering organization is provided with experience based feedback to align tender execution models to actual project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a suite of key supplier relationships for critical aspects of PF projects.
  • Identify and deploy best practices across projects & lead the SC continuous improvement process.

Sourcing/Procurement Phase:

  • Management responsibilities of the PSL's and other functional team members.
  • Create synergies between projects within the portfolio to achieve reduced pricing from suppliers.
  • Engage in tendering process to provide feedback to tendering team on the expected execution model for each specific tender.
  • At the start of the project, establish the supply chain organization structure, fill the structure with the required resources and facilitate handover from tender to execution organization.
  • With finance, support in the establishment of the buying structure of the project including entity.
  • BORG and AC/AU codes as well as approval structure within.

Execution/Delivery Phase:

  • Monitor the overall fulfillment plan, service delivery, and supply cost KPIs for portfolio of projects assigned. Carry out weekly meetings with individual project supply leads for each project to review schedule progress, budget vs. actual spend, supplier quality issues and supplier claims.
  • Establish critical focal points of each project and liaise with Engineering and Construction function heads to mitigate risks / concerns.
  • Establish points of escalation for suppliers and act as internal point of escalation for related supplier disputes across portfolio of projects.
  • Establish, manage and maintain list of key suppliers utilized across the portfolio of projects, building the relationship with each in order to obtain reduced pricing and delivery times benefiting tenders and projects (PF-P-07-01-008).
  • Engage with local SSO team to integrate PF P&S procedures with local SSO P&S procedures - to source local suppliers (incl. Construction).
  • Analyze lessons learnt from Projects (PLG Gate J). Execution Gates Closure (PF-P-01-01-001).

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • > 10 years experience. Examples: Project Supply Lead, Project Manager, P&S Manager.
  • Product line spend vs. budget.
  • On time Project delivery, as per the project execution plan.
  • Supplier OTD and quality defects.
  • Spend within Category Plan.
