Project Controls Lead

Introduction
To provide leadership and coordinates all aspects of Project Controls including reporting, progress measurement and schedule control.
Monitors the Contractor’s execution performance in the area of scheduling, progress monitoring and provides advice as necessary to make sure the Company’s objectives are achieved.
Understand the key project drivers and responsibilities, develop communication protocols, identify elements of project likely to give rise to disputes and claims, communicate and influence across the organisation to ensure delivery of project within the agreed timeframe.
What are you going to do
Responsible for ensuring that proper and effective project control measures are executed by the Contractor with particular emphasis on schedule planning and progress monitoring.
Coordinates the collecting, consolidating, analyzing and reporting of all Project schedule, progress measurement and control, trends to ensure overall project status is assessed and potential problem areas are identified.
Leads the monitoring and appraising performance of the Contractor in the areas of progress measurement and schedule control.
Monitor Contractor’s performance and progress in areas of project controls, scheduling, reporting, progress monitoring assessing any discrepancies and reverting to Contractor for clarifications/corrections.
Coordinates preparation of weekly and monthly reports.Performs review and consistency checks of weekly and monthly reports prior to issuance.
Leads the review and evaluation of Contractor’s plans and procedures for project controls, progress, scheduling, and cost control and modifies as necessary to meet the project’s objectives.
Reviews and, where appropriate, endorses schedule, progress and control budgets and forecast prepared by the Contractor.
Leads reviews and endorses claimed progress reported by the Contractor.
Assists Project Leadership Team in reviewing schedule corrective actions and recovery plans and making sure needed actions/plans are implemented.
Essential skills and knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering alternatively relevant experience in oil and gas industry.
Minimum of ten (10) years of major EPC project experience within the Oil and Gas Industry.
Minimum five (5) years’ experience associated with engineering,
procurement, and construction of large onshore LNG plants.
Broad experience in project controls, including cost, schedule, progress reporting, procurement, and change management.
Team player, flexible and experienced of working in a diverse team environment.
Good organizational and execution skills.
Fluency in English.
Good Software skills: Primavera P6, Advanced excel.
Computer literacy (MS Office, SAP).
Strong coordination experience and good team skills
Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with several organizational levels.
