Lead the execution of project controls functions across the assigned projects, ensuring cost, schedule, and performance data are accurately monitored, reported and managed.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of project and contractor's performance data and provide insights for effective decision making and risk mitigation to meet Company's objectives and support the needs of stakeholders and shareholders.
What are you going to do
Execute project control functions including scheduling, cost control, change management, progress monitoring, risk and issue tracking, in alignment with processes, procedures and project requirements.
Maintain effective communication with LNG project teams to resolve planning and control issues applying initiative and flexibility to ensure alignment across disciplines and enhance project execution effectiveness.
Coordinate with internal teams and contractors to consolidate and analyze project cost and schedule data, control metrics, trends, and progress measurements.
Ensure overall project status is assessed, and potential risk or deviations are identified. Produce cost estimates as requested by senior management.
Lead schedule planning and delivery using integrated planning tools and multi-range scheduling software.
Ensure schedule accuracy and cost data collection and updates.
Support change order requests and issues and risk management processes across the by assessing contractor proposals and ensuring alignment with project governance and procedures.
Monitor contractor performance and progress in project controls, scheduling, reporting, progress monitoring, and cost estimating.
Identify and address discrepancies and coordinate clarifications and ensure timely corrective actions are taken by the contractors.
Ensure approved project changes are integrated into schedules and cost baselines, coordinating with planning and cost systems and teams to reflect the impact on reporting, stewardship and suitability for the project.
Establish and maintain integrated project control systems that are fit for purpose and aligned with project scope, complexity and execution strategy.
Essential skills and knowledge
Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
8 years experience in multiple project functions and assignments, e.g., project management, engineering, construction, procurement, etc. in the Oil & Gas Industry including 1 year experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of contractor / subcontractors / service / vendor personnel.
Experience with Oil & Gas Companies, contractors, subcontractors, vendors or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.
Knowledge in project business related function/discipline such as planning, scheduling, cost control, estimating, claim management, risk management, change management, procurement, pre- and post-award contract management, actionable and informative reporting, support services, lessons learned, etc.
Knowledge in international standards, best practices and methodologies as it relates to business disciplines.
SME level competence in candidate's specific business discipline.
Knowledge of relevant business processes/procedures.
Experience with risk assessment approach in decision making.
Strong knowledge of relevant software and computer skills, e.g., dashboards, data analytics, SAP, etc.
Experience supporting large scale integrated operating and executing organizations, such as Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
