Introduction

Brunel Papua New Guinea are seeking an experienced OIMS Technician to work with one of the largest energy companies in the world, who have assets in Oil & Gas, LNG and Renewable energy. This position will be responsible for managing OIMS at one of the remote sites in the oil and gas industry.

What are you going to do

Major responsibilities are as follows but not limited to;

Develop, facilitate, and execute OIMS information and sharing for Production and Non­Production support on site.• He will be required to report to and liaise directly with other remote sites OIMS techs and Safety Supervisor.
Coordinate OIMS System reviews for Critical KPI’s ­ focus on forward looking as well as coordinate and provide coaching for all team members regarding OIMS information and system understanding.• Provide support and provide mentoring/transfer OIMS knowledge to PNG Contractors
Develop OIMS posters, presentations, and information for sharing across the site.• Work with the Safety Specialist for sharing of OIMS information in the Daily News, safety sharing
Work with the PIC for both sites to make sure OIMS is visible and open, becoming a part of our business.• Develop and present the OIMS SHE Weekly (HGCP) or OIMS Bi­Weekly(LNGP) Meetings (OLT)
Provide support for the site SHE teams as needed.• Attend the Daily Work Coordination Meeting for sharing of OIMS
Provide support and guidance for internal and external assessments in OIMS.• Provide OIMS guidance for IMPACT items and OIMS system tie ins
Assist with the fixed asset register and verification as needed.• Provide follow up for MOC status and statistics
Assist with the Safety Specialist for Fair Play and Safety Champion of the Month• Participate in the Management Walks and Hazard Hunts; develop action items and follow up
Coordinate with WMS Coordinator and update the monthly WMS scorecard for the asset• Support OIMS System owners and administrators assessments in OIMS.

Essential skills and knowledge 

- SSHE relates or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field - 5+ years of experience working with OIMS systems in the oil & gas industry
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the oil and gas industry - Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
