Introduction

What are you going to do

Qualified professional responsible for overseeing measurement systems. Involved at varying levels in calibration activities (including tanks, railcars, and related equipment), tank gauging, gas and liquid measurement (oil and water), meter proving, temperature and pressure compensation for volumetric calculations, and control chart monitoring (including fundamental statistical concepts and applications). Provides operability and maintainability expertise and support for the Instrumentation and Controls discipline.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, maintain, and calibrate measurement instruments and equipment.
  • Install and maintain radio communication equipment and ensure reliable communication connectivity.
  • Demonstrate understanding and participation in water, oil, and gas measurement activities, including but not limited to orifice, ultrasonic, turbine, and Coriolis metering; AGA measurement standards; Fisher ROC and ABB configurations; radio communications; and hydrocarbon sampling for analytical purposes.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety culture and environmental compliance standards.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Ability to demonstrate competency in performing and/or supporting the following activities:
  • Configure process control systems in both field locations and processing facilities.
  • Maintain, calibrate, test, and perform preventive maintenance on measurement and control equipment.
  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and perform diagnostics on RTU equipment.
  • Test, calibrate, and troubleshoot transmitters and communication systems.
  • Install and test flow transmitters in field environments.
  • Measure and verify gas moisture content, specific gravity, and CO₂ concentrations.
  • Experience with installation and maintenance of Fisher ROC systems, ABB gas measurement equipment, and WinCCU software is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a similar role and/or relevant industry background.
  • College degree preferred but not required; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Basic knowledge of measurement documentation practices, AGA standards, and applicable API standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
