Position Overview

The Measurement Engineer II is responsible for supporting the design, maintenance, and optimization of measurement systems across LNG and process facilities.

This role ensures accurate and reliable measurement data through flow measurement support, instrumentation calibration oversight, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and compliance activities.

The position supports safe, efficient, and reliable facility operations by analyzing measurement performance, resolving metering issues, supporting automation initiatives, and recommending system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain measurement systems to support accurate and reliable data collection.
  • Support flow measurement programs and instrumentation calibration activities.
  • Analyze and interpret measurement data to identify operational improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry regulations, technical requirements, and measurement standards.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve metering and measurement-related discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on automation and digitalization initiatives involving measurement systems.
  • Provide technical recommendations for system optimization, upgrades, and performance improvements.
  • Maintain measurement records, documentation, and performance reporting.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience supporting LNG facilities or other relevant process and industrial facilities within the last 5-7 years.
  • Previous operations experience in an operating facility environment.
  • Experience with flow measurement systems, instrumentation calibration, and measurement performance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of measurement compliance requirements, troubleshooting methodologies, and system optimization practices.
