Introduction

Brunel International is a leading provider of engineering services in the Marine and Telecom industries. We are currently seeking an experienced Marine/Telecom Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various systems.

What are you going to do

The Marine/Telecom Engineer will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the following systems: marine navigation systems, marine communication systems, satellite communication systems, telecom networks and related hardware. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing technical support to customers and conducting research on new technologies.
The Marine/Telecom Engineer must have a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the above mentioned systems. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills as well as strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should also have a good understanding of safety regulations and standards related to marine and telecom engineering.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Radar systems: Radar Transceivers, Antenna, Radar Transceiver Antenna Control Unit (ACU), Waveguide, Long Range Camera, Short Range Camera, Thermal Sensors, AIS Base Station Transponder, Coastal Surveillance Software, GPS Antenna Time Server, & Server and Recording System;
  • Aeronautical Non‐Directional Beacon, Antenna, & Tuning Unit (ATU);
  • Meteorology sensors;
  • Data LAN system;
  • Wireless LAN system;
  • IP Telephony system;
  • IPTV system;
  • Video Teleconference system;
  • Microwave Link system;
  • Land & Marine Tetra / VHF / MF / HF / DCS/GMDSS Radio BS;
  • Radio Dispatching and Recorders system;
  • UPS Power Backup systems;
  • UTP, OFC, & Coaxial cables;
  • Knowledge in using telecom testing equipment.
