Introduction

What are you going to do

  • Check that new maintenance work orders to be planned are in the system. Plan the work orders as per the manpower and material requirements. Discuss with the respective discipline supervisor the actual manpower requirements / materials to carry out the activity in accordance with the full scope of work. Once confirmed schedule the planned jobs in the weekly schedule in coordination with the discipline supervisors;
  • Responsible for ensuring all planned, corrective and SCE maintenance is assessed and reviewed prior to scheduling, ensuring valid justification for any deviation from the approved plan. Also provide valid justification for any deferment, allowing sufficient time for review by the TA;
  • Create Purchase Requisitions (PR) for non-stock items. This should be done at the time of planning the work order. Communicate with the JAOSB Warehouse and request them to release materials as required, ensuring they are issued ahead of the weekly schedule;
  • Receive materials from the Warehouse for the Maintenance Team and ensure that they are stored it in the correct location. Update the long text within the Work Order accordingly if required. Inform details of materials received to respective discipline supervisors and follow up on materials for any unscheduled / priority jobs;
  • Print job cards and hand over to discipline supervisor. Issue the materials to the required discipline listed in the work order prior to the execution of the scheduled job;
  • Send requests with the necessary details (Drawings and sourcing information’s received from the buyers in Main Office) to the Materials Master Data Coordinator to create a new item number. Follow up with the Buyers for procuring both stock and non-stock items;
  • Return any used materials pertaining to the work executed, by preparing Return Request and creating a Work Order to recover the said material into stock after refurbishment. Update the Work Order long text to complete the work order. Follow up with JAOSB Maintenance Workshops to forecast the arrival of equipments sent for repair and return;
  • Follow the 28 Day Plan and schedule the tasks for the major rotating equipment as per the plan;
  • Update schedule date in the Work Order at task level to replicate the same in the upcoming weekly schedule;
  • Responsible for the weekly planning and scheduling offshore for all disciplines. Ensure daily planning meetings take place to review the work plans to attain good planning compliance;
  • Coordinate with other Planners/Warehouse for any urgent materials requirement. Liaise with Warehouse for the movement of toolboxes equipment’s from one platform to another;
  • Prepare Transfer Form and Waste Management / MSDS Forms and get it authorized by the appropriate Superintendent for sending junk material to onshore;
  • Participates in Company STAR safety program;
  • Work towards completion of Competency Development Assurance (CDA) assessment scheme;
  • Performs Emergency Response Role as required by company.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • 4-5 years Planning and Maintenance experience in an industrial environment, ideally within the Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical industry. Supervisory experience would be advantage, but not considered essential;
  • Completion of Secondary (10 years) education, followed by 3 years Diploma or apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical or instrument trade;
  • Should be computer literate, having knowledge of MS Office and ideally an enterprise system such as Oracle;
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
