Our client, a leading organization in the offshore oil & gas industry, is currently seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled process engineering professional with extensive experience in offshore fixed platforms and floating production facilities, particularly within Middle East projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading process engineering activities, managing technical interfaces, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex offshore oil and gas projects.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the process discipline, acting as an approver and reviewer of process engineering documents.
- Develop process discipline implementation strategies, execution plans, interface management plans, design basis data, risk control measures, and engineering solutions.
- Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation and control measures.
- Communicate and coordinate with international clients on process design schemes and resolve process engineering issues.
- Coordinate with clients to address technical concerns and ensure timely close-out of comments and action items.
- Review technical tender documents, provide technical clarifications, and support bid evaluation activities.
- Provide technical training and mentoring to engineering teams, delivering a minimum of 10 training sessions or 40 training hours annually.
- Support workshop activities and facilitate effective issue resolution and close-out actions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the client.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in process design for offshore fixed platforms and floating oil & gas production facilities.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Lead Process Engineer on Middle East offshore projects.
- Prior experience with internationally recognized engineering companies such as Technip, Worley, Wood, Fluor, or McDermott is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Oil and gas field development Offshore process engineering Industry standards and specifications including API, ASME, Standards, and Relevant industry regulations and policies
- Familiarity with international project execution systems and client design philosophies.
- Proven ability to develop technical strategies, manage risks, identify issues proactively, and implement effective solutions.
- Experience leading technical workshops and successfully closing out technical actions through strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in process engineering software such as AutoCAD, HYSYS, FLARENET, PHAST, FLARESIM, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with dynamic process simulation will be an advantage.
- Strong coordination, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including assignments at offshore oil and gas facilities as required by project needs.
