Hydro Field Technician

Key accountabilities for the field tech role are:

• Daily planning of earthworks operations required for upcoming scopes, including ground-truthing of proposed locations.
• Daily pegging of future borehole locations and tracks (if required)
• Daily data entry of all earthworks progress, drill pad signoffs and pegged drill holes.
• Identification and rectification of hazards in the workplace
• To provide all necessary information both digital and physical to the Earthworks Crew to ensure accurate and efficient clearing of planned drill sites within LUC conditions.
• To provide all necessary support to Field Hydrogeologists if required
• Assist as required in the event of an emergency including, fires and weather events.
• Provide support to Earthworks Operators and to conduct daily pad checks and pad signoffs.
• Assisting Hydro contractors however required to enable efficient execution of water well drilling and test pumping scopes.
• Liaising with contracting staff and providing assistance escorting of vehicles if required
• Regular review of field SWIs and procedures
• Regular stocktake of department consumables.
• Conduct field interactions to maintain a safe work environment and broaden knowledge.
• Load/unload stores as required.
