What are you going to do
Brunel Energy is recruiting an HR Manager to work with a major oil and gas company on a 1-year contract in New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Support a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment and staffing, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and HR policies and processes.
- Support employees with benefits, 401(k) plans, FMLA, FLSA, and other HR-related programs and requirements.
- Partner closely with senior leadership and executives, providing professional HR guidance and handling sensitive employee matters with discretion and sound judgment.
- Manage internal HR communications and relationships, adapting communication style to effectively work with senior-level stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted, solution-oriented HR resource while anticipating needs and proactively addressing issues.
- Support additional HR initiatives and tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to step in where needed.
Essential skills and knowledgeÂ
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of HR experience, ideally with broad HR generalist experience across multiple HR functions.
- Oil & gas experience is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, benefits, 401(k) plans, FMLA, FLSA, and employee relations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience interacting with executive and senior-level leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to navigate sensitive workplace situations effectively.
- Highly detail-oriented, proactive, solution-oriented, and able to anticipate needs.
- Willingness to take on varied responsibilities and support the broader HR function as needed.
