Introduction

  • Ensure smooth and safe operation of Fire and Gas System and PAGA - Public Address & General Announcement System through preparation, implementation and review of preventive maintenance programs and coordination of efforts with internal and external stakeholders in order to make sure that relevant maintenance works are completed in an effective and timely manner.

What are you going to do

  • Prepare technical specifications & SOW for contracts for F&G equipment and systems.
  • Evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications as required by code. Understanding and ensuring compliance with the health and safety regulations and quality standards in which work is undertaken.
  • Perform technical evaluation of bids relevant to spare parts submitted by vendors and provide technical clarification to get right parts from vendors.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - Electrical / Electronic.
  • Total of 5-7 years of experience in the O&G Industry, out of which 2-3 years
  • Experience in the in Petrochemicals Industry.
  • PLC and instrument calibration
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office / SAP
  • Basic proficiency in NFPA codes & standards and ATEX standard.
  • Field devices such as Gas detectors/transmitters - O2, CO, H2, H2S, HC-CB, SO2, HC-IR, Flame, beam detector, heat detector/transmitters, Electro bed-Cell and Electrochemical-Cell type detector Photo electric smoke detectors, addressable devices and Dragger Polytron transmitters/detectors, Zellweger, Honeywell, and Emerson etc.
  • FACP- NOTIFIER Fire Alarm Control System including Control board, expansion cards, Serial interface boards, FACP display boards, power supply boards etc.
  • ALLEN BRADLEY PLC including Input, Output & Communication Modules, Relays, Adopters, Addressable loop drivers, Isolator Modules, Hart Multiplexers & HMI panels of ABB & Siemens.
  • Advanced proficiency in working with fire alarm and gas detection systems
  • Preferred: Arabic - Working knowledge.
