Introduction

This position will be responsible for overseeing and leading electrical engineering activities in NFXP/NFW Onshore Common Lean LNG Storage and Loading Expansion Project (EPC-2).

Position ensures all electrical engineering design requirements such as project philosophies, specifications, codes, standards and practices are in full compliance with project, Company requirements.

Position shall deliver discipline results to the highest technical quality standards and provides clear guidance to the EPC contractor including facilitating resolution of technical issues such that all electrical design activities meet project objectives

Maintains close liaison with members of Engineering, quality, construction and operations Teams to deliver clear follow up of plans and efficient execution.

What are you going to do

  • Demonstrate personal SHES leadership and excellent SHES behaviours at all times. Perform as a safety leader through setting and exhibiting the highest safety standards of behavior and actions to the workforce. Actively participate in Toolbox Talks, Task Instructions and site safety walkthroughs.
  • Ensure electrical engineering activities are conducted in accordance with local regulatory requirements, codes and standards, project specifications and industry practices. Ensure that Contractors/Subcontractors are conducting engineering design in accordance with project requirements, specifications, and safe practices.
  • Resolve electrical discipline issues timely to ensure engineering designs meet NFXP/NFW Project’s expectations and objectives

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • 10 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering discipline in large oil & gas projects. Broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, industry standards/codes/practices, onshore LNG facilities.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Electrical)
  • Broad Electrical equipment and systems experience (High Voltage equipment, transformers, switchgear, power management systems, and electrical controls) and familiarity with relevant manufacturing processes.
  • Brownfield engineering and execution knowledge
  • Strong leadership skills, personal integrity, experience guiding and assisting contractor teams
