Leads document control and information management activities for the project, ensuring effective use of EDMS, compliance with procedures, and accurate handling of technical documentation.
Oversees document flow between stakeholders and ensures timely, compliant handover of project information to operations.
What are you going to do
Lead the implementation and administration of document control systems and processes of EDMS (Project Information Management System) to the PMT.
Oversee the control, accuracy, and timely distribution of all Onshore Project documentation.
Ensure compliance with project standards, including templates, metadata, and distribution requirements.
Coordinate document reviews and follow up to meet project timelines and PMT expectations.
Manage document numbering, tracking, and alignment with operations requirements.
Provide guidance to the PMT on technical documentation and correspondence processes.
Drive continuous improvement of document control and information management practices.
Oversee electronic records management, ensuring proper capture and tracking of all project communications.
Manage document archiving, storage optimization, and secure accessibility of records.
Support Project Information Handover (PIH) to ensure complete and compliant transfer of documentation to operations.
Essential skills and knowledge
Bachelor of Science, Business or Engineering
8 years' experience in document control, including at least 4 years in the oil and gas industry within technical project environments and proven 1year supervisory experience or acting role, with the ability to lead and manage document control teams effectively.
Demonstrated knowledge of document management systems and archiving practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated organizational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently while managing priorities, schedules, and workload efficiently
Strong decision-making and judgment, knowing when to escalate issues
Proven ability to manage complex tasks and deliver results within deadlines and cost constraints
Shows initiative and accountability, contributing to continuous improvement of processes
Effective team collaboration with an understanding of cross functional relationships
Builds credibility and maintains professional relationships with stakeholders
Good supervisory and coordination skills, supporting team efficiency
