Introduction

Lead delivery of HV transmission line works on a mine site, overseeing crews, subcontractors and daily work fronts. Responsible for safety, productivity and quality, as well as managing QA, ITRs and compliance to meet project specs and client requirements. Drive execution from construction through to completion and handover on a major WA infrastructure project.

What are you going to do

  • Lead HV transmission line construction works on a mine site
  • Supervise crews, subcontractors and daily work fronts
  • Coordinate labour, plant and materials to meet programme targets
  • Drive site productivity and short-term planning
  • Lead pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety activities
  • Ensure compliance with site procedures and permits
  • Manage QA/QC including ITRs and inspections
  • Coordinate quality hold points and sign-offs
  • Manage defects, NCRs and close-out
  • Track progress, labour and plant utilisation
  • Prepare daily and weekly site reports
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation actions
  • Interface with client and key stakeholders on site
  • Support scheduling and programme delivery
  • Lead and mentor site personnel
  • Deliver works through to completion and handover

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Proven experience supervising HV transmission line or major infrastructure projects
  • Strong background in site-based construction on mine or FIFO sites
  • Experience managing crews, subcontractors and multiple work fronts
  • Solid understanding of QA/QC processes including ITRs and inspections
  • Strong knowledge of safety systems (SWMS, JHAs, permits)
  • Ability to drive productivity and meet programme targets
  • Experience with reporting, progress tracking and client interface
  • Trade or engineering qualification (preferred)
  • Current Driver's Licence and White Card
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
