Introduction

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS), ensuring safe and efficient delivery in alignment with project schedules and company SHES requirements.
  • Act as the PMT focal point for SIMOPS and Permit to Work (PTW) systems, driving the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of associated procedures, including PTW and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

What are you going to do

  • Provides SIMOPS/PTW expertise, for planning and execution of activities with regard to Permits and leadership driving Contractor to deliver in accordance with project deliverables and execution schedule.
  • Directs the preparation and stewardship of SIMOPS/PTW scope of work in Contract, supports Contractor by helping address gaps, coordinate with operations and other disciplines within the team.
  • Maintains close liaison with members of Engineering, quality, construction and operations Teams to deliver clear plans and efficient execution of the project scope of work.
  • Accountable for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with project objectives and specification.
  • Manages Contractor's SIMOPS/PTW activities including validation of resources, personnel qualifications and experience; usage of appropriate tools; adherence to project objectives, requirements, specifications, and verification processes.
  • Assesses and validates Contractor's capability in providing all procedures, progress measurement and reporting to steward the systems completion activities for Pipelines scope of work.
  • Manages the SIMOPS/PTW discipline deliverables and field engineering in support of precomm/comm activities.
  • Support the identification of SHES hazards and the evaluation of risks for all activities. Keep track of boundaries between different project phases as an input for SIMOPS/PTW coordination on site.
  • Accountable knowledge of and sharing previous lessons learned, capturing and communicating current lessons learned to support review teams and future projects.
  • Review, update and amend SIMOPS/PTW procedures and specifications to ensure that all precomm/comm references are up to date and relevant.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering.
  • Eight (8) years' experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including one (1) year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
  • Eight (8) years' experience as SIMOPS/PTW Coordinator, Commissioning or Operations Lead with a broad knowledge of planning and Pre-commissioning/Commissioning execution experience.
  • Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
  • Expertise in SHES Hazard identification/Risk Assessment and SIMOPS/PTW management.
  • Experience leading multi-discipline and multi-cultural teams in commissioning field execution.
  • Experience in Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Startup of Brownfield onshore projects is desirable.

  • Good influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Computer literacy involves the regular use of professional office and technical applications.
