Introduction

Due to continued growth and expansion of our residential projects, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Residential Drafter to join a well-established and growing business based in inner Brisbane. With a strong pipeline of projects and continued expansion across our residential portfolio, this is an opportunity to join a stable business with plenty of work ahead.

What are you going to do

As a Residential Drafter, you will work across a range of volume investment homes, preparing detailed documentation from concept through to construction. You will work closely with the wider design, construction and project teams to ensure drawings are accurate, practical and meet relevant requirements.

  • Produce detailed residential working drawings and construction documentation
  • Develop floor plans, elevations, sections and detailed drawings for volume investment homes
  • Prepare and update documentation throughout the design and construction process
  • Work within Archicad to develop and maintain accurate models and documentation
  • Interpret architectural concepts and translate them into practical construction documentation
  • Coordinate drawings with internal teams, consultants and other project stakeholders
  • Review and amend drawings based on design changes and project requirements
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency and quality across all documentation
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines within a fast-paced environment

Essential skills and knowledge 

We are looking for a genuine residential drafting professional who understands the Australian residential construction industry and can hit the ground running.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Proven residential drafting experience in Australia - A strong understanding of Australian residential construction and documentation
  • Strong Archicad experience - essential
  • Experience drafting volume homes, project homes or residential investment properties
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian building codes and standards
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
