What are you going to do

We are working with our client, a leading organization in the oil and gas sector, to appoint a BSA Operations Technical Analyst in Pune. This contract role sits at the heart of their finance operations, managing and supporting the BlackLine platform while driving process efficiency and control across balance sheet reconciliation and wider finance processes. You will collaborate closely with our client's team and cross-functional stakeholders to stabilize, optimize, and enhance core financial systems and workflows.

Key Skills & Experience

  • BlackLine Platform Management - Configure and maintain the BlackLine system, ensuring it is aligned with business needs and operates reliably.
  • User Access & Security - Manage user access, roles, and permissions to safeguard data while enabling efficient workflows.
  • Master Data & Workflow Configuration - Maintain master data and design workflows that support accurate, timely financial processing.
  • Reporting & Troubleshooting - Produce meaningful reports and resolve system issues quickly to minimize disruption to our client's team.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation Support - Support the reconciliation process, ensuring the platform effectively underpins strong financial controls.
  • Finance Process & System Controls - Work with finance stakeholders to strengthen process discipline and system governance.
  • Transformation & Automation - Identify and deliver opportunities for process improvement and automation within the BlackLine environment.
  • Training & User Support - Provide guidance, training, and ongoing support to users, enhancing adoption and effective use of the platform.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in finance operations or system administration.
  • Strong hands-on experience in BlackLine administration and configuration.
  • Experience in user access management, master data, workflows, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of SAP FI/CO is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of R2R, P2P, and O2C finance processes.
  • Experience in balance sheet reconciliation and journal entry processes.
  • Knowledge of finance controls, governance, and compliance.
  • Experience supporting finance transformation or system implementation projects.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.Experience in balance sheet reconciliation and journal entry processes.
  • Knowledge of finance controls, governance, and compliance.
  • Experience supporting finance transformation or system implementation projects.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in GBS/SSC, Big 4, Oil & Gas, or Power industry is desirable.
