Introduction

Brunel are urgently looking to identify a Digital Solution Administration Specialist with relevant experience. This 12-month contract position is to work for a global leading Offshore Services Provider, and you will be office based (3days per week/2 from home) in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Suitable candidates will need to be able to commute to the Rotterdam office and be available to start at short notice.

What are you going to do

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain digital solutions, ensuring their performance, availability, and security to support business operations effectively.
  • Manage the configuration and deployment of digital platforms, including software applications, cloud services, and integrated systems, ensuring they meet organizational requirements.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot digital systems, identifying and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous service delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation and integration of digital solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Perform regular updates, patches, and system enhancements to keep digital solutions up-to-date, secure, and optimized for performance.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards, implementing necessary security measures and conducting regular audits.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices, maintaining detailed records to support ongoing maintenance and future development.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to end-users and internal teams, resolving complex issues and ensuring efficient use of digital solutions.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies and trends, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance the functionality and efficiency of digital systems.
  • Lead or assist in digital solution projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and according to best practices.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Google Cloud Certified: Professional Cloud Architect are highly recommended.
  • Proficiency in administering and managing digital solutions, including cloud platforms, enterprise software, and digital tools, is essential.
  • A master's degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital solution administration, IT systems management, or a related field, with demonstrated expertise in managing and optimizing digital environments.
  • Proven experience in deploying, configuring, and maintaining digital solutions across various platforms, including cloud-based environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in system administration, including the management of servers, databases, and application environments.

DURATION: 12-month contract (potentially renewable)

SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week

HOURLY RATE: Competitive hourly rate (all-inclusive)

HYBRID: 3 days in office (Rotterdam), 2 days remote
