What are you going to do 

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a major wind farm project near Rockhampton, QLD. Working on a 3 weeks on 1 week off roster, this role will play a critical part in delivering large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects valued at $300M+.

Our client is a global leader in renewable energy technology and power generation solutions, delivering some of the world's most advanced wind turbine projects. With a strong focus on innovation, safety and sustainability, they are at the forefront of the energy transition.

This role will see you leading the site delivery of wind turbine supply and installation, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and project partners.

As Site Manager, you will be the primary site representative and responsible for coordinating all on-site activities during the installation and commissioning phases of the wind farm project.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the primary communication link between the client and project team on site

  • Leading and embedding a strong safety-first culture across the project

  • Ensuring EHS and Quality processes are implemented and strictly adhered to

  • Managing subcontractors, installation crews, transport and cranage activities

  • Coordinating interfaces between the client, contractors and internal project teams

  • Supporting installation and commissioning teams to deliver works in line with project schedules and budgets

  • Ensuring all personnel hold the required training, certifications and documentation

  • Monitoring site performance, productivity and commercial outcomes

  • Reporting project progress and escalating issues when required

  • Supporting project closeout and transition into operations and maintenance

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Industry recognised qualification such as Advanced Diploma, AQF III or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or Hydraulic Engineering fields
  • Extensive experience in a relevant site leadership role
  • Proven experience delivering large construction or installation projects
  • Previous wind farm project delivery experience
  • Experience working on wind turbine generator installations
  • Strong knowledge of project management, installation and commissioning processes
  • Experience managing subcontractors, cranage and heavy lift operations
  • Solid understanding of EHS systems, ISO standards and safety frameworks
  • Current Australian driver's licence
  • Full Australian working rights
