Introduction

Senior Civil Engineer opportunity with a major global mining company delivering large-scale domestic and international projects. This Monday-Friday, office-based role (with ad hoc site travel) will see you lead civil design across earthworks, drainage and road infrastructure, supporting projects from feasibility through to construction within a high-performing owner's team environment.

What are you going to do 

  • Lead civil design across earthworks, drainage and road infrastructure packages

  • Support feasibility studies, optioneering and infrastructure gap analysis

  • Develop Basis of Design, technical specifications and scope documentation

  • Review and challenge consultant designs to optimise cost and schedule

  • Coordinate civil engineering consultants across study and delivery phases

  • Manage civil engineering risks across the full project lifecycle

  • Provide technical support from concept through construction

  • Contribute to tender evaluation and contractor management processes

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and company procedures

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders across domestic and international projects

  • Support project teams with ad hoc site visits as required

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

  • 8+ years' experience in mining, infrastructure or renewable energy projects

  • Strong design capability across earthworks, drainage and roads

  • Full project lifecycle experience (feasibility to construction)

  • Experience managing and reviewing consultant designs

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and engineering standards

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
