Introduction

What are you going to do 

We are partnering with our client, a respected organization in the oil and gas sector, to appoint a Quantity Surveyor on a contract basis. This is a key role within our client's team, managing all commercial aspects of major energy projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, profitably, and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Quantity Surveyor at Brunel International, you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of oil and gas projects from inception through completion.
  • Your duties will include cost estimation, contract administration, risk assessment, and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
  • You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide accurate cost control and contribute to successful project delivery in the energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of cost management, contract law, and procurement processes related to oil and gas projects.
  • Ability to prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the oil and gas industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software tools for cost control and project management.
  • Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
