Introduction

Brunel is working with a leading contractor delivering infrastructure within the Australian defence sector and is seeking a Project Engineer (Electrical) to join the team on a long-term project based at Garden Island.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a nationally significant project supporting electrical and telecommunications infrastructure within the defence environment.

What are you going to do 

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Engineer will support the successful delivery of engineering scopes across the project lifecycle including planning, coordination and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist with engineering delivery across project scopes* Support project planning, scheduling and coordination of works
* Provide technical support during design and construction phases* Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers
* Monitor project progress, risks and performance* Maintain documentation and reporting requirements
* Ensure works comply with project safety and quality standards

Essential skills and knowledge 

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline* Approximately 5-7 years' experience within infrastructure or construction projects
* Exposure to electrical services, communications or telecommunications infrastructure* Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills
* Understanding of project planning and cost control

Security & Eligibility Requirements

Due to the defence nature of this role:

* Australian Citizenship is required* Dual citizenship only accepted for NZ, USA, UK or Canada
* Ability to obtain a Defence Security Clearance
