Introduction

On behalf of our client - Woodside Energy, a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a Procurement Adviser (x 2) within the Procure to Pay Team. The role serves as a central point of contact for delivering high-quality services and guidance across the business. This will be a 12 month contract located at their Corporate Perth CBD office.

What are you going to do 

The position plays a critical role in supporting Operational Maintenance, Contracts, Warehouse & Logistics and other business stakeholders by ensuring accurate and timely Procurement of goods and services to a high degree of data integrity in compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert in Procurement processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring alignment with company policies, risk management protocols and SOX compliance.

  • Manage RFQ process including market engagement, vendor identification and negotiation, commercial evaluation and selection
  • Procure competitively priced materials, services and equipment to the correct technical specification in an ethical, cost effective and timely manner
  • Manage and maintain key relationships with internal customers, functional teams and other stakeholders
  • Competent in Supplier Management as appropriate with a focus on problem resolution and improved supplier relationships and performance.
  • Validate and be accountable for data accuracy - GLs, account assignment, Material Data, tax codes, links to outline agreements
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to meet business requirements
  • Demonstrate competency in PO monitoring and identifying scope of supply discrepancies and pricing mismatches
  • Administration and close out of Purchase Orders including changes, disputes and extensions
  • Identify, escalate and help resolve PO issues to support timely receipt and payment
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, risk management protocols and SOX controls

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Previous experience in a Procurement role
  • Proficiency in SAP and Ariba platforms is essential
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas or similar industries will be highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High level of accuracy in data validation
  • Familiarity with SOX will be well received
