Introduction

Brunel International is currently seeking an experienced Camp Advisor for a FIFO (Fly-In-Fly-Out) position based in well established mine site up in Papua New Guinea. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our mining camp operations.

What are you going to do 

As a Camp Advisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the mine site camp on a mine site up in Papua New Guinea. You will ensure the smooth running of facilities, accommodation, catering, and other services to meet the needs of employees working on-site to maintain a safe and efficient camp environment.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Previous experience working in a similar role within a mine site camp environment
  • Develop SOP's and job task descriptions for camp safety & operations, housekeeping and janitorial
  • Implement a quality control framework for housekeeping and janitorial
  • Improve stock control for consumables
  • Implement fair, transparent and effective room allocation processes based on employee level and room types
  • Ensure pest control is managed
  • Mentor and train the national and local camp personnel
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a mining camp setting
  • Willingness to work on a FIFO roster in Papua New Guinea
