What are you going to do 

  • Act as Site Authority for all brownfield construction and modification works within operating refinery / petrochemical environments
  • Lead and manage on-site execution in compliance with HSSE standards, procedures, and project specifications
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety requirements including PTW, LOTO, JSA, and SIMOPS controls
  • Exercise stop-work authority when any HSSE, operational, or technical risk is identified
  • Manage EPC contractors and subcontractors across multi-disciplinary scopes (mechanical, piping, E&I, structural)
  • Monitor and control contractor performance in terms of safety, quality, schedule, and productivity
  • Lead shutdown, turnaround, and live tie-in activities ensuring readiness of permits, manpower, and materials
  • Coordinate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Project teams for smooth execution
  • Identify and mitigate construction risks, and support Management of Change (MOC) processes
  • Ensure construction quality meets project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee mechanical completion, punch list clearance, and handover documentation
  • Provide accurate progress reporting and participate in daily coordination and HSSE meetings

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or equivalent)
  • Minimum 30 years of experience in construction/site management within oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical industries
  • Strong experience in brownfield project execution under live operating conditions
  • Proven experience managing SIMOPS, shutdowns, and turnaround activities
  • Hands-on experience managing EPC/EPCm contractors across multiple large-scale projects
  • Strong knowledge of HSSE practices, including PTW, LOTO, risk assessment, and MOC processes
  • Experience working with international oil company (IOC) standards or equivalent industry standards
  • Experience in large-scale Ethylene Cracker projects and brownfield modifications preferred
  • Ability to manage multi-disciplinary and multicultural teams
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Willing to be site-based and work extended hours during critical project phases
