What are you going to do 

  • Provide on-site technical support during construction and commissioning activities
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in coordination with engineering teams and stakeholders
  • Ensure all site issues, queries, and solutions are properly documented, tracked, and closed
  • Support equipment installation, plant configuration, and LV secondary systems including cabling activities
  • Monitor daily site progress and coordinate closely with contractors, partners, and internal teams
  • Act as the interface between site teams and engineering offices, ensuring timely communication and resolution
  • Participate in technical meetings and support the Site Manager in discussions with stakeholders
  • Ensure proper implementation of change management, site queries, redlines, and documentation processes
  • Maintain accurate as-built documentation and ensure all teams use the latest approved drawings
  • Analyze technical issues, assess impacts on schedule/cost, and propose practical solutions
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement across projects
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements and promote safe work practices

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience in HVDC, substations, or large-scale AC power or infrastructure projects
  • Prior experience supporting construction and commissioning in a site-based role
  • Strong understanding of electrical drawings (SLD, layouts, cable lists, connection diagrams, etc.)
  • Knowledge of equipment installation, cabling systems, and construction sequences
  • Familiar with engineering processes such as change management and site documentation workflows
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced site environment
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance standards
