What are you going to do 

Brunel is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) on behalf of our client. In this role, you will develop and enhance modern enterprise applications using React, TypeScript and Python technologies while collaborating within an Agile delivery team.

We are looking for a software engineer with strong programming fundamentals, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications using React, TypeScript and Python technologies.
  • Build responsive and user-friendly web applications with a strong focus on performance, usability and maintainability.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with front-end applications.
  • Write clean, reusable and well-tested code following software engineering best practices.
  • Develop unit and automated tests using modern testing frameworks.
  • Participate in solution design, technical discussions, estimation and code reviews.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Product Owners and Software Engineers within an Agile environment.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment and release activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product backlog items within agreed timelines.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve application performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, coding standards and engineering best practices.
  • Support integration with cloud services, databases and enterprise applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript and modern React development.
  • Hands-on experience with React, Redux and React Testing Library.
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming, clean code practices and design patterns.
  • Experience writing unit tests and maintaining high code quality.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins or similar tools.
  • Experience using Git for source code management.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure cloud services is preferred.
  • Experience working within Agile (Scrum/Kanban) delivery teams.
  • Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently as well as within cross-functional teams.
  • Candidates should be comfortable completing an online technical coding assessment as part of the interview process.
