Engineering Supervisor (Instrumentation / Valve Automation)

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead our engineering team supporting industrial valve automation and instrumentation systems for the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Process industries. This role focuses on the engineering and technical support of automated valves, actuators, control systems, and related instrumentation, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with customer specifications and international industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of Technical Engineers and Drafters supporting valve automation and instrumentation projects.
  • Review engineering deliverables including control schematics, wiring diagrams, general arrangement drawings, datasheets, and test procedures.
  • Ensure engineering documentation complies with project specifications and applicable industry standards.
  • Provide technical guidance on valve automation systems, pneumatic and hydraulic actuation systems, and instrumentation.
  • Review engineering changes and recommend cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • Support project kick-off meetings, customer technical clarifications, factory acceptance testing (where applicable), and after-sales technical support.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support engineering process development and team competency.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory experience in valve automation, actuators, instrumentation, or control valve engineering, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Good understanding of automated valves, pneumatic and hydraulic circuits, and instrumentation systems.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Familiarity with standards such as ISO 12490, API 6DX, IOGP S-707, SHELL DEP, or similar industry standards is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and SAP is a plus.
