Introduction

The Country Manager will hold overall commercial, technical, and operational accountability for the Indonesian entity. This dual-focus executive role requires a strategic leader with deep engineering acumen and a strong track record in commercial bid management, local tendering, and regulatory compliance within the EPC sector.

What are you going to do 

  • Leadership & Strategy: Drive the company's local business strategy, market expansion, and operational management in alignment with global European headquarters.

  • Tendering & Commercial Strategy: Lead high-value bid proposals, risk assessments, contract negotiations, and cost estimations for major onshore/offshore EPC tenders in Indonesia.

  • Engineering Oversight: Supervise project engineering deliverables, ensuring high technical standards, client specification compliance, and seamless execution across preliminary and detailed engineering phases.

  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Establish and nurture strong relationships with major key clients (IOCs, NOCs, developers), local joint venture partners, subcontractors, and Indonesian regulatory bodies.

  • Operations & Compliance: Ensure full operational, tax, legal, and statutory compliance within Indonesia, including strict adherence to local content (TKDN) regulations and international HSE standards.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Electrical).

  • Experience: Minimum 12-15 years of industry experience within the EPC sector, with at least 5+ years in senior management, tendering, or project execution roles.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in bid management, engineering leadership, and high-value tender submission for large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.

  • Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Indonesian energy landscape, tender procurement processes, regulatory compliance, and TKDN requirements.

  • Languages: Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and spoken) for executive stakeholder communications.
