We are seeking an experienced Marine & Offshore Engineering Leader to drive the design, development, and execution of complex offshore infrastructure projects, including LNG facilities, drilling units, and marine vessels. This role will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, manage vendor and shipyard interfaces, and support business-critical decisions across project lifecycles.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering design and execution of offshore marine projects including LNG facilities, drillships, semi-submersibles, and jack-ups
- Manage concept, basic, and detailed design phases, ensuring compliance with classification and regulatory standards (DNV, ABS, IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL)
- Oversee multidisciplinary engineering teams covering naval architecture, structural, mechanical, and marine systems
- Drive project delivery aligned to scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements
- Support shipyard selection, contract negotiations, and evaluation of technical and commercial proposals
- Manage vessel newbuilds, conversions, and modifications, including commissioning and operational readiness
- Provide technical expertise in stability, weight control, mooring, DP systems, and offshore operations
- Interface with clients, shipyards, vendors, and classification societies to ensure smooth project execution
- Develop engineering tools, models, or software to improve project efficiency and decision-making
- Support business development and technical marketing with engineering insights and solutions
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams while driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in offshore marine engineering or related industry
- Proven experience managing large-scale offshore projects, including newbuilds and conversions
- Strong technical expertise in offshore vessel design (drillships, semi-submersibles, jack-ups) and/or LNG/FLNG projects
- Experience working with shipyards, EPC contractors, and classification societies
- Solid understanding of international regulations and standards (DNV, ABS, IMO, NORSOK, etc.)
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Strong commercial acumen with exposure to contract review and vendor negotiations
- Proficiency in engineering tools (e.g., GHS, STABCAD, AutoCAD) and MS Office suite
- Knowledge of programming or data tools (e.g., Python) is advantageous
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a global, fast-paced, and complex project environment
