Introduction

On behalf of Chevron, one of the world's leading integrated energy companies, we are looking for WA Oil Wellsite Representative.

This role will play a critical role in overseeing well operations on Barrow Island. Reporting to the Well Services Superintendent, you will coordinate and supervise well services, workover, intervention, and P&A activities. This senior position requires not only field expertise but also the ability to support office-based planning, equipment preparation, and logistics.

What are you going to do 

Field Operations:

  • Supervise and coordinate well services scopes including slickline suspension/desuspension, noise/temperature logging diagnostics, rigless wireline perforation, injection stimulation, and well recompletion.
  • Lead well operations, ensuring adherence to Chevron’s Operational Excellence (OE) standards and the Chevron Tenets of Operation.
  • Maintain a strong safety culture, championing Stop Work Authority (SWA), and ensuring compliance with all HSE and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee Verification & Validation of safeguards across all wells operations.

Office Support:

  • Collaborate with office engineers in the planning phase, contributing to HAZID/ENVID sessions and pre-job safety planning.
  • Prepare, inspect, and QA/QC equipment and tools at vendor workshops/yards in readiness for campaign work.
  • Engage in office work as required to support ongoing operations and future campaign planning.

HSE Compliance:

  • Drive Incident Free Operations (IFO) with a focus on eliminating Serious Injuries and Fatalities (SIFs).
  • Maintain well control and ensure WellSafe certification is upheld at all times.
  • Approve and manage permits to work, and ensure all operations comply with the Barrow Island Environmental Plan and relevant safety cases.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records within WellView, including daily operations logs, cost data, WellSafe assurance data, and wellbore schematics.
  • Ensure all well operations are thoroughly documented and that reporting is timely and accurate

Training & Mentorship:

  • Mentor less experienced Wellsite Representatives, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to enhance operational planning and execution.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current IWCF Level 4 Well Control (Drilling Surface Supervisor) or IADC Supervisors Well Control (Drilling Surface Stack) certification.
  • Valid Wellsite Permit to Work Registration and Training.
  • Experience with slickline, coiled tubing, rigless perforation, and acid stimulation.
  • Preferred: Well completions, workover, intervention experience (both field and office).
  • Proficiency in WellView, ForeSite, and JDE.
  • Minimum of 10 years of oil & gas experience, particularly in land wells, workover, and P&A operations.
  • Prior experience on Chevron’s Barrow Island and coiled tubing is advantageous.

  • Rate: AUD 1800 per day (inclusive of super)
