What are you going to do 

As a Technical Specialist - Reliability, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, analysing, and permanently removing defects that impact safety, reliability, quality, efficiency, and cost across our mobile maintenance operations. You will work closely with supervisors, leading hands, technicians, planners, and supply teams to lead structured failure investigations, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities, and implement effective solutions to enhance equipment performance and maintenance execution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify and eliminate recurring maintenance and reliability defects
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and defect elimination activities
  • Improve maintenance strategies, job plans, and overall equipment performance
  • Review failure data and translate findings into practical, actionable solutions
  • Support critical spares management, master data accuracy, and maintenance system improvements
  • Collaborate closely with frontline crews to remove inefficiencies and improve maintenance execution
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and share learnings across maintenance teams

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Trade qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent discipline
  • Proven experience in mobile maintenance, asset reliability, or maintenance improvement roles
  • Skilled in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Strong practical troubleshooting and failure investigation skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage teams without direct authority
  • A passion for continuous improvement and defect elimination
