Introduction

Brunel International is seeking a skilled Coded Boilermaker Technician to join our dynamic Shutdown team. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful execution of shutdown projects within various industrial settings. If you have a strong background in boilermaking and enjoy working in high-pressure environments, this opportunity is for you.

What are you going to do 

As a Shutdown Coded Boilermaker Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and fabrication tasks during scheduled shutdowns. Your expertise will ensure equipment integrity and operational safety. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to meet project deadlines and maintain quality standards. The role involves interpreting technical drawings, welding, fitting, and assembling metal components, and adhering to health and safety regulations.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a boilermaker technician, particularly in shutdown environments
  • Valid shutdown coding certification relevant to boilermaking tasks
  • Proficient in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and risk assessments in shutdown operations
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Physically fit to handle demanding tasks and work in confined spaces
  • Relevant trade qualifications and certifications in boilermaking
  • Australian work rights and willingness to work on-site during shutdown periods
