Introduction

What are you going to do 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer to join a leading FPSO project team in Bangalore. The selected candidate will be responsible for package engineering activities for rotating equipment throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, project requirements, and international engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform package engineering activities for rotating equipment and process packages.
  • Prepare and issue technical specifications, equipment lists, and engineering deliverables.
  • Manage vendor selection activities, including technical bid evaluations (TBE), technical offer reviews, and bid clarification meetings.
  • Act as the package engineer during procurement and PO execution, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
  • Support package engineering throughout Pre-PO, Post-PO, FAT, safety studies, commissioning, and project execution.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, supply chain, and project stakeholders.
  • Review vendor documents, technical drawings, calculations, and engineering documentation.
  • Provide technical support for Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), commissioning, and engineering activities at the fabrication yard.
  • Work on rotating equipment including process pumps, centrifugal pumps, process compressors, positive displacement pumps and compressors, utility pumps, power generation packages, chemical injection systems, dehydration units, dryer packages, inert gas generators (IGG), hydraulic power units (HPU), and other offshore process packages.
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable international codes and standards.
  • Support project execution by resolving technical issues and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. Minimum 12 years of experience in Rotating Equipment Engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
  3. Minimum 3 years of Offshore Oil & Gas project experience.
  4. FPSO project experience is highly preferred.
  5. Strong experience in Package Engineering, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Technical Specifications, Vendor Management, Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE), and Commissioning Support.
  6. Hands-on experience with Process Pumps, Process Compressors, Utility Pumps, Chemical Injection Packages, Dehydration Packages, Inert Gas Generator (IGG), HPU, and other rotating equipment packages.
  7. Working knowledge of PV Elite, Compress, AutoCAD, and Navisworks 3D will be an advantage.
  8. Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
