Introduction

Brunel is partnering with a leading energy technology innovator to source a Senior Electrical Test Engineer based in Perth CBD. You will lead the planning and execution of structured test programs for high-performance electrical systems, including EV charging technology.

This role is open to candidates based in Perth with full Australian working rights

What are you going to do 

  • Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and automated scripts based on system requirements
  • Lead and coordinate physical testing on rigs, HiL setups, and active mine sites
  • Identify and manage specialist vendors for advanced electrical testing
  • Support FAT/SAT activities and the safe integration of systems into operational environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate performance, troubleshoot faults, and ensure product compliance
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data from instrumentation and sensors
  • Maintain detailed documentation and test reports in line with QA and regulatory requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing methodology, tools, and safety

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Substantial experience in electrical product/ High Voltage Electrical system testing
  • Strong background in structured test design and execution
  • Experienced with data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and automation
  • Knowledge of EV charging systems, HIL/SIL testing (highly desirable)
  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • High attention to detail, strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
