Introduction

On behalf of our client, a Tier 1 Mining Company, Brunel is presently sourcing x 2 Senior Contracts & Procurement Specialists and a Contract & Procurement Specialist to support Contract and Procurement activities across a major project.

What are you going to do 

  • Working across Construction Works, Services and Capital Procurement, you will be responsible for tender development, contract award, negotiations, contract administration, commercial risk management and contractor engagement throughout project delivery.
  • Support contracting and procurement strategies, including packaging, delivery models and market engagement
  • Lead and suport the development, evaluation and execution of tenders for construction contracts, equipment and services
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing
  • Prepare contract documentation, pricing schedules and contract award recommendations
  • Manage pre and post-award contract administration, claims, payment assessments and close-out activities
  • Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks
  • Drive value outcomes through sourcing, negotiation and contract management
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and contractors

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Extensive experience in project contracting and procurement within mining, infrastructure and Oil & Gas
  • Experience related to Civils, NPI, SMP and EIC works
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Law, Commerce, Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar OR equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple contract packages across project phases
  • Strong contract negotiation, administration and claims management experience
  • Understanding of project delivery models, construction contracts and commercial risk allocation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
