What are you going to do 

Working closely with the Project Manager and site team, you will take ownership of the commercial and contractual management of projects from procurement through to final account.

  • Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering and contract negotiations.
  • Prepare and administer subcontract agreements.
  • Assess subcontractor claims, variations and progress payments.
  • Manage project cost reporting, forecasting and budgets.
  • Prepare client progress claims and variation submissions.
  • Monitor project cash flow and commercial performance.
  • Assist with head contract administration and risk management.
  • Drive positive commercial outcomes while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Proven experience as a Senior Contract Administrator or Contract Administrator within a commercial head contractor environment.
  • Experience delivering commercial construction projects valued between $20M and $100M - preferrably in retirement/aged-care.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration, procurement and cost management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar.
